The community support for this project has been extraordinary. The scale of this project would not be possible without all of your help. I am so grateful to the sponsors, grantors, supporters, and collaborators who have made this possible, and brought such depth of meaning to a simple idea.
Here’s what we hope to do with this project:
Make a piece of public art that is fun and accessible to all audiences.
Connect with students to give them creative opportunities in reductive sculpture.
Bring attention to the art of stone sculpture, and draw parallels with pumpkin carving as a reductive sculpting exercise.
Introduce young readers to The Biggest Pumpkin Ever children’s story, and emphasize how lessons and the stories that carry them can live on and transform over time.
Thank you!!
